Free Cone!
No Strings Attached dept.
They didn’t ask for a cash deposit.
They didn’t ask for my name.
They didn’t need a credit card for incidentals.
They didn’t make me promise to come back and buy something later.
They didn’t want to know my credit history.
They didn’t need three forms of ID.
I didn’t have to kneel or sing a devotional hymn.
They just gave me a cone.
No questions asked.
Thanks, Dairy Queen!

Speaking of ice cream, here’s “Adderal Holiday”:

I posted elsewhere about the free cone thing yesterday. Just so people could still get the free cone if they wanted.
Someone wrote, “We need an anti-war song!”
Well, yes.
Or a “Monumental Blunder” song.
Or a “Worst Idea Ever” song.
At least.
My Mom used to tell me that in England during the war, no matter what anyone did or said, the response was likely, “Don’t you know there’s a war on?!!”
And fair enough.
So, we conclude today with an anti-war song.
I wrote it some time ago.
It’ll have to do for today.
We’ll see what tomorrow brings.

“After the Parade”:

Free ice cream, and a very good song!
Happy Equinox to you Dan! Some days are more equal than others and some are just equal.
